Tottenham Hotspur may have a fight on their hands to keep one of their best young talents this summer. ESPN have claimed German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are keeping tabs on Tottenham sensation Reo Griffiths.

He has been in fine form this season, scoring 20 goals and the 17-year-old is now attracting unwanted attention.

But Tottenham might just have to brace themselves for plenty of interest from the German side in the months to come, thanks to one man.

RB Leipzig appointed Paul Mitchell as the club’s head of recruitment in February. He was the man credited with bringing Dele Alli to Spurs during his time at Tottenham.

It is surely no coincidence that one of Tottenham’s brightest sparks is suddenly being linked with a move to Leipzig, just two weeks after the club’s former talent spotter joined the Bundesliga club.

RB Leipzig were already not afraid to dive into the English market, with the recent recruitment of Ademola Lookman from Everton and Oliver Burke’s disappointing transfer from Nottingham Forest.

With Mitchell in tow there is no doubt that a few more Tottenham players might be linked or approached by the club in the next few months.

Watch out Spurs, as you would not want to lose your next Harry Kane to the Bundesliga prospects.
