Chelsea are planning on a swoop on one-time Tottenham Hotspur target Benjamin Henrichs, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season in the Bundesliga and is reported to have found himself on the radar of some of Europe’s elite clubs.
Tottenham Hotspur were linked with the youngster last summer, but Mauricio Pochettino must renew an interest this time around and challenge Chelsea for his signature.
Henrichs can play left-back and right-back, and such a versatile defender is very valuable to a Spurs side who probably need one of each this summer.

Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier have been relatively average all season, while a potential departure for Danny Rose means that Ben Davies is Pochettino’s only established left-back.
At 21, Henrichs is only going to get better and better, and it wouldn’t be a good look for Tottenham if the man they refused to pay £18 million for last summer [Daily Mail] gets a move to Chelsea and develops into a world-class talent.
Few would be surprised if that scenario materialises. The North Londoners must make up for their error last summer and at least challenge the Blues for his signature.
