Reports emanating from Italy yesterday suggest that Inter Milan want to appoint Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino as their new manner in the summer, according to Sky Italy.
Although the Nerazzurri have a rich and successful history in the game, including three Champions League trophies to their name, they have been on a slow and steady decline over the past half decade.
Their average league position during those five years has been 6.4, and their team of players is totally unrecognisable from the Champions League winning side of 2010.
The owners of the Italian giants obviously want them to return to their former glories, and sporting director Piero Ausilio is flying to London this week to hold talks over a proposed move to bring the Tottenham boss to the San Siro, according to Sky Italy.
Despite what will undoubtedly be an exciting project on offer at Inter, Pochettino would be mad to swap the Premier League for Serie A.
He is in the middle of creating an excellent team in north London – one that has come so close to tasting Premier League success over the past two seasons.
As they continue to grow and improve, Tottenham fans will now be expecting Pochettino to bring home some major honours, and he has every chance of doing just that, if his side continue on their current course.
The Premier League, is without doubt the most exciting league in the world, and while La Liga and Serie A arguably boast better teams, the level of competition in England ensures for a far greater level of excitement throughout the season.

It would make no sense for the Tottenham boss to swap the blood and thunder of the Premier League for the more pedestrian natured style of the Italian top flight.
However, after two impressive seasons, where progress has undoubtedly been made, Tottenham must bring home some silverware over the next 12-24 months, or risk losing Pochettino to one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Pound-for-pound he has to be considered as one of the best managers in the world, and Spurs’ chances of success over the next decade hinge greatly on whether or not the Argentine remains at the helm.
He seems to be someone who enjoys building something of his own, which he has done at Spurs, and he will surely want to see out that project. Tottenham fans should not be worried…yet.
