Tottenham Hotspur have become renowned for leaving their transfer business until the last possible minute.
Spurs enjoyed an incredibly successful 2016/17 Premier League campaign, despite their ultimate disappointment at missing out on the league title to fierce rivals Chelsea.
Mauricio Pochettino will surely be looking to bolster his options throughout the course of the summer, if he is to take his side one step further than last term, and win some major honours.
Worryingly for Tottenham fans though, there is a distinct lack of transfer activity emanating from the club, whilst all of their Premier League rivals are spending heavily, bolstering their ranks ahead of the new season.
There is genuine concern that club chairman Daniel Levy is once again playing the waiting game, in an attempt to secure Spurs value for money, rather than going out and being proactive in the market.

Whilst it is hard to argue that Tottenham’s first XI is not one of the strongest in the top flight, they undoubtedly need more strength in depth, to help them cope with prolonged periods without star players such as Harry Kane, Christian Erisken and Dele Alli.
Everton and Manchester City’s spending is already approaching £100 million this summer, whilst Spurs continue to flounder, and what with their temporary move to Wembley this season, they are in serious danger of regressing, unless they start to make waves in the transfer market.
The addition of an able back-up for Harry Kane is surely the priority, with Vincent Janssen proving to be an inadequate stand-in for the 23-year-old.
It could also be argued that the north London outfit are in need of more creativity in the wide attacking areas, what with Erik Lamela’s ongoing absence now becoming a genuine concern.
And Levy, Pochettino and co must get their act in order over the next few weeks, to avoid a repeat of the 2016 summer transfer window, where they ended up paying inflated prices for overrated players.
