Tottenham Hotspur have struggled for goals so far this season, and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge could be the solution to their problems.

The future of Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is unclear, with questions being asked concerning his role in Jürgen Klopp’s side.
Whilst there is no doubting his talent and quality, his injury record is questionable to say the least.
Also, his input from a work-rate perspective doesn’t seem to be up to the standards set by the German, and a move away from Merseyside could be mutually beneficial for both player and club.
The 27-year-old could be the ideal January transfer target for Spurs.
Vincent Janssen has failed to fill the boots of Harry Kane during the England international’s absence through injury, and despite the Dutchman having only played 13 times for Tottenham, sometimes it is clear for all to see that a player does not have what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

This may sound harsh on Janssen, but the disastrous spell Roberto Soldado spent at White Hart Lane will still be firmly lodged in Spurs fan’s memories.
Sometimes, it is better for all parties concerned for a ruthless decision to be made sooner rather than later, and wouldn’t it just be a huge statement from Tottenham were they to cut their losses with the former AZ Alkmaar man and bring in Sturridge over the winter?
The former Chelsea and Manchester City man is still one of the most clinical finishers in the game, and if he could just find a way of maintaining his fitness throughout the course of the season, he could prove to be exactly what Spurs need to reach the next level of Premier League winners and genuine Champions League challengers.
If a move for Sturridge came to fruition, his presence amongst the Spurs squad would provide Mauricio Pochettino with the option to play with more tactical variety.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane
He could pay alongside Kane in a 4-4-2, out on the wide left or right in support of the main striker, or he could be used in rotation with Kane when fatigue begins to set in.
Whether Liverpool would be willing to sell Sturridge to a direct title rival is debatable, and with his contract with the Reds not due to expire until the summer of 2019, any kind of potential offer from Tottenham would have to be a substantial one to even tempt the Liverpool hierarchy into selling.
Much will depend on what happens between now and January, and the first-team opportunities that Sturridge receives, and whether or not Janssen can show any kind of form for Spurs.
