The Paris Saint-Germain winger could be on the move and he may be ideal for Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the Daily Mail, Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to cash in on Lucas Moura in January in a bid to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, and Tottenham Hotspur would be wise to take a long hard look at the Brazilian winger.
Spurs have been in brilliant form this season, taking four points off Real Madrid in the Champions League group stages and level on points with second-placed Manchester United in the Premier League. However, they could do with additional quality in wide areas and Lucas offers that in abundance.
At 25, the Brazilian is arguably reaching his peak and his ability to play on either flank would make him a tantalising prospect for a Tottenham side lacking quality out-and-out wingers.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have done well so far and there could be a valid argument that shaking things up in January could upset the apple cart rather. But the alternative could see Lucas excel at Wembley, adding another creative spark to a side that aims to challenge on three fronts at the business end of the campaign.
Lucas has fallen out of favour at PSG this season, yet his record of 46 goals and 48 assists in 228 appearances should not be ignored; nor should his innate talent and likely desire to make up for lost time.
The Premier League could be the perfect stage for Lucas to shine and Tottenham are one of the few clubs that could attract him, so what chance a January bid?
