In a recent interview with FourFourTwo, Bayern Munich defender Rafinha has claimed that has offers from Premier League clubs this summer and would be open to a move to England.
“I don’t like to talk about offers – I have managers for that. But it’s true, those offers are real,” Rafinha told FourFourTwo. “I have a few offers from Premier League clubs.
“It’s not the first time that something like that has happened. Obviously, every player is fascinated by the Champions League. I would like to learn another language. Why not?”
The report suggests that Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the clubs who are potentially interested in signing the 31-year-old Brazilian, but should Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur enter the frame?
With doubts residing over the future of current Spurs right-back Kyle Walker, Pochettino is likely to be on the look for a new right-back this summer, should Walker leave. Though Kieran Trippier is expected to inherit the starting spot, Bayern Munich defender Rafinha could come in and compete with the former Burnley man.

The defender would also offers Spurs some much needed know-how in European football. With qualifying for the Champions League becoming a much more regular for occurrence for Tottenham Hotspur under Pochettino, the Argentinian manager may feel his team needs more players with experience of playing at Europe’s elite level.
And Champions League winner Rafinha could offer just that. Though signing a player of Rafinha’s age may well go against Pochettino’s usual transfer policy, the kind of experience the Brazilian could bring to the side might just be worth breaking the norm for.
