The Ajax player would be perfect for Tottenham Hotspur, where he would join up with his countryman Christian Eriksen.
Tottenham Hotspur may already have some of the best young players in Europe coming through their ranks, but that does not mean they will be ignoring other club’s teenage prospects.
While the likes of Marcus Edwards, Kyle Walker-Peters and Cameron Carter-Vickers should all become first-team regulars at White Hart Lane in due course, Tottenham’s scouts and managerial team would be wise to keep an eye on Ajax forward Kasper Dolberg.
After all, at just 19 the versatile attacker has already scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in 37 appearances for the Dutch club, and he was rewarded for his efforts with a call-up to Denmark’s senior side in November.
Dolberg is the latest in a long line of academy products at Ajax and like many before him, his future could well be away from the Netherlands.
Tottenham already have one Danish international in their ranks in the form of Christian Eriksen and he could do worse than talk up Spurs’ youth development and willingness to put their faith in teenage players in a bid to convince Dolberg to move.
After all, despite Harry Kane’s continuing good form Tottenham remain overly reliant on the England international, and Dolberg fits the bill as a signing Spurs chairman Daniel Levy can make knowing his value is only likely to increase in the years ahead.
With Eriksen back to his best at White Hart Lane, what chance his brilliant young countryman one day joining him in North London?
