The Whites’ poor start to the season belies their impressive summer recruitment drive.

Leeds United's manager Garry Monk

The new FIFA is almost upon us and many Leeds United fans will already be dreaming of virtual success with their team.

On paper, at least, Garry Monk has assembled a competent side since taking over in June, and this should reflect in the new game’s ratings.

We at HITC would say the Whites look good for three-and-a-half stars overall. But who will be their best-ranked individuals?

Here’s a preemptive top five…

5) Eunan O’Kane

After a season of semi-regular Premier League football, O’Kane can expect a slight boost on his previous 68 rating.

Anticipated rating: 71

4) Charlie Taylor

Taylor’s potential should see him go far in the (real) game, however, FIFA’s initial ratings are unlikely to reflect this.

Anticipated rating: 72

3) Robert Green

He may be getting on a bit but few Championship keepers can match Green’s career. A 76 last year, he can perhaps expect a slight reduction.

Anticipated rating: 73

2) Liam Bridcutt

A 74 on last year’s game, the newly-appointed Leeds skipper is unlikely to have drifted too far from his previous rating.

Anticipated rating: 73

1) Pablo Hernandez

He hasn’t been Leeds’ best performer this season, but the winger’s past – which includes a spell at Valencia and four caps for Spain – should again see him ranked highly, after last season’s 76 rating.

Anticipated rating: 74
