Sunderland may need additions out wide in January.

Pawel Cibicki is reportedly set to be on the move again when he returns to Leeds United in January from his half-season loan spell at Norwegian outfit Molde – and Sunderland need to take advantage.
The Yorkshire Evening Post claim Leeds are planning to sell the 24-year-old in the January transfer window, with at least one American MLS club said to be interested in the Sweden youth international.
Cibicki struggled at Leeds since his £1.5million move (The Sun), managing just 10 appearances in all competitions with the Whites. Failing to score, he contributed just two assists in that time.
Joining Molde in the summer, the former Malmo FF forward has provided a decent return of three goals and four assists in 18 league and cup outings for the Norwegian outfit.
But with Cibicki returning to Elland Road in January, the likelihood of him breaking into the first team set-up at Elland Road is minute. He needs to find a new home quickly, and that could be across the pond.
However, Sunderland should convince Leeds to let him move to Wearside on loan in January rather than selling him permanently, in a bid to give the versatile attacker one last chance to show he is good enough for English football.

Marcus Antonsson joined Blackburn last season on loan, scoring eight goals in 34 games for Tony Mowbray’s side from the wing to help them gain promotion. He has since left for a fee, joining Cibicki’s former side Malmo.
Sunderland are lacking in both strikers and wingers, with Josh Maja’s future in doubt and Charlie Wyke still overcoming injury. Aiden McGeady’s future is also up in the air, after recent comments in the media.
Bringing in a player like Cibicki, then, would provide Jack Ross with cover up front and out wide, and perhaps give the attacker one more chance to show Leeds what he is capable of.
