The former AC Milan manager is reportedly keen to get back into the game. Could Sunderland or Middlesbrough offer him a way into English football?
Former Sunderland manager David Moyes
Both Sunderland and Middlesbrough have had a lot in common this season. Both clubs have had to sit through a lot of dreadful, boring football. Both teams have had to endure unpopular managers who struggle to adapt. And both sides have ended up relegated from the Premier League.
Without a doubt, what could have been exciting seasons for both clubs, has turned out to be torturous affairs. Both fans of Sunderland and Middlesbrough have had to endure a lot this season, and perhaps both view a return to the Championship as a chance for a fresh start.

But exciting football could be on the way back to both the Stadium of Light and the Riverside, especially if either club decides to give an opportunity to former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder, Clarence Seedorf.
According to a report in Talksport, Seedorf is keen to get himself back into management, and would be keen to take on a side at Championship level, should it be the “right project.”
The former Dutch player, who has won almost every trophy imaginable other than the World Cup, has bags of football experience, and has been a big part of an attractive Dutch style of footballing philosophy which has shaped some of the best current sides in modern football.

Could the potential of bringing in such a rich footballing pedigree interest Sunderland or Middlesbrough? After the turgid football of Moyes and Karanka, Seedorf’s style and work ethic may be a real breath of fresh air for both clubs.
However, with so much money at stake, promotion will likely be the number one goals for both Boro and the Black Cats this summer, and therefore both clubs might be keen to avoid offering a job to a manager with no experience of the Championship. But if it can work for Reading and Jaap Stam, then who’s to say it cant work for Sunderland and Middlesbrough?
