West Ham fans were impressed with Gareth Bale’s performance from the bench as Tottenham suffered a London derby defeat on Sunday.
Many Spurs fans have been crying out for Bale to earn more minutes on the pitch after a slow return to North London.
Well, when opposition fans are noticing the threat Bale provides then the signs are clear that his minutes should increase.
West Ham were in a comfortable position – 2-0 up after 47 minutes, but Bale’s introduction at half-time did change the tempo of the match for the away team.
Spurs had more speed, threat and a forward-thinking way to their game, with Bale’s pin-point cross from a corner after the hour mark, which was headed in by Lucas Moura, providing Jose Mourinho’s men with a lifeline.
Bale did hit the crossbar following his vicious volley, but in the end, it wasn’t enough for Spurs to seal any points.

Whilst the Hammers enjoyed that victory, which keeps their Champions League hopes alive, they were, for a small while, worried by the impact Bale was having during that match.
That was noticed by David Moyes who brought on Ben Johnson to stop his threat, and in the end, the points were sealed by those in Claret & Blue.
