Fulham will not sell Ryan Sessegnon so Tottenham need to make sure Danny Rose doesn’t leave for Chelsea in reported £50m deal.
The future of Danny Rose as a Tottenham Hotspur player remains uncertain following an interview with the Sun in which the left-back criticised the club’s transfer policy, wage structure and admitted he would be open to a move north.
The same newspaper now says that Chelsea are planning a £50m move for Rose after the two sides have clashed at Wembley Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday (August 20).

The England international is also a long-term target for Manchester United and Spurs appear to be planning for life without the 27-year-old as they plot a move for Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon – according to Sky Sports.
Some reports claim a £25m bid has been submitted for the 17-year-old, but Cottagers owner Shahid Khan will not even sell for that much after Sessegnon committed his future to the West London club in June by signing a three-year deal.
It leaves Tottenham in a tricky position and although Ben Davies scored during an opening day 2-0 win over Newcastle United, Rose remains the number one choice on the left side of defence.
While manager Mauricio Pochettino was already planning for life without Kyle Walker – who has since joined Manchester City – towards the end of last season by increasingly using Kieran Trippier at right-back, the departure of their left-back was not planned for.
Rose has emerged as one of the best players in the position in the English top flight over the past few years and therefore losing the defender to a direct rival would come as a huge blow.
Many fans of the North Londoners are understandably annoyed with the Englishman because of the interview and Pochettino probably wasn’t too impressed either, but while the timing was poor and some of his issues maybe should have remained internally at the club, with no clear replacement Spurs cannot afford to leave him leave.
