If Barcelona sign Luke Shaw from Manchester United then should Tottenham take a closer look at Lucas Digne?

In a somewhat surprising twist Barcelona are linked with a summer move for disgruntled Manchester United defender Luke Shaw, according to the Mirror.
The Catalans are looking for competition for current left-back Jordi Alba and view Shaw as the ideal man to do that as his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho continues to be strained.

The England international is looking for a way out of Old Trafford and the Sun reports that Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested.
Another option
Spurs are eyeing up Shaw because they are preparing for the prospect of Danny Rose leaving at the end of the season, with the Red Devils seemingly his most likely destination.

However, if the 22-year-old departs for the Camp Nou then that is likely to see Lucas Digne exit Barca following a frustrating first season in Spain following a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
Digne has managed only 18 appearances in all competitions this term and perhaps the France international could be the ideal player to come in and challenge Ben Davies for a place on the left side of defence.
