Has Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes just sent a warning to Tottenham Hotspur about pursuing Bordeaux forward Malcom?

Tottenham Hotspur looked to have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Bordeaux’s Malcom after Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes admitted his club were not interested.
As the Evening Standard reports, both Spurs and rivals Arsenal have shown interest in the winger after an impressive season in Ligue 1.

Yet are Heynckes’ comments about the 21-year-old more revealing than it first seems and is there a hint that perhaps the hype is not fully justified?
“I don’t think there is interest here. He always gets put into the shopping window but nobody really goes after him,” the 72-year-old said.
Perhaps there is something in this as after a blistering start to the campaign, Malcom’s statistics have been far less impressive in more recent times.

In his last 12 games in all competitions the Brazilian has managed just one goal, having scored seven in 17 towards the beginning of the campaign.
This is not to say that the youngster is a bad player, but with fees of £50million being touted by the Metro perhaps Tottenham should approach any potential deal with caution.
