Both West Ham United and Leicester city are reportedly interested in the Frenchman, but Southampton should gatecrash the party.

Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino will surely be looking to bolster his options at St Mary’s during the January transfer window, with his side currently stuck in the malaise of mid-table mediocrity.
One particular department that the Argentine needs to strengthen is his attacking options, with their impotent attacking play proving to be detrimental to their hopes of finishing inside the top eight.
With this in mind, Southampton should challenge the Hammers and the Foxes for PSG winger Hatem Ben Arfa, who has been made available by the French club.

The Daily Mail claim that the two English sides are lining up a move for the attacker, with his club willing to sanction his exit on a free transfer in January.
The 30-year-old is incredibly skilful, and would add a certain edge to the Saints attacking play, what with the direct manner in which he operates.
Ben Arfa has created somewhat of a bad name for himself during his time in the game, with the tag ‘troublemaker’ seeming to follow him wherever he goes.

The Frenchman has surely matured now, however, and at the age of 30, his next club will be his last chance saloon. He has frightening amounts of talent, and if he could channel his focus and aggression into playing football, he would have so much to offer.
He would be a sensational signing for Southampton, if he did indeed knuckle down and let his feet do the talking on the football pitch.
In spite of his history of causing trouble, Ben Arfa would surely be worth the risk for the Saints, especially with his availability on a free transfer.
And who knows, he could very well turn out to be a signing of real significance for the south coast club.
