Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has admitted that there is still a chance Connor Goldson could leave the club on loan during the January transfer window.
The Seagulls are yet to make any new signings this month, with a striker remaining a priority, but a new centre-back and winger are also being considered.

“We are still actively trying to bring in a centre-half and then the possibility of Connor Goldson going out on loan,” Hughton was quoted by BT Sport.
If Goldson – who has made just four first team appearances this season – is allowed to leave the Amex stadium on a temporary basis, then should rivals Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday battle it out for his signature?
The Blades have already lost an option in the 25-year-old’s position in January, with Cameron Carter-Vickers returning to parent club Tottenham Hotspur after his own loan spell ended.

Wednesday, meanwhile, have had their own issues in central defence and are more drawn to loanees with finances at the club very limited.
Goldson joined Brighton in the summer of 2015 from Shrewsbury Town and was ever-present during that first season, but the defender underwent heart surgery in 2017 that has kept him out of action until recently.
