Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic and Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers reportedly want him, but should Steven Gerrard offer Andy Halliday as a makeweight?

The writing might be on the wall for Rangers man Andy Halliday.
The 26-year-old is linked with a move to Hibernian after Rangers’ acquisition of Scott Arfield intensified the competition for midfield places in Steven Gerrard’s squad for next season.
As it stands, it looks unlikely that Halliday, a lifelong Gers fan, will be among Gerrard’s first-team squad in time for the 2018-19 campaign.
With that in mind, should the Ibrox club offer him plus cash for Dundee midfielder Glen Kamara?

Celtic and Rangers are interested in signing defensive midfielder Glen Kamara, according to The Scottish Sun.
Dundee have just lost midfielder Mark O’Hara and it makes more sense to sell him to the Blues if they are offering a ready-made replacement in the form of Halliday.
The Scot, under contract until 2020, is clearly good enough for the Scottish Premiership, but he might not be good enough if Rangers have designs on challenging Celtic next term.
Former Arsenal youth Kamara, on the other hand, might be and if the Gers are serious about getting him then offering up someone of Halliday’s talent and experience as a makeweight could go a long way toward facilitating it.
