Rangers desperately need another striker in the January transfer window.

Umar Sadiq has reportedly cut short his Rangers season-long loan and is set to join Italian side Perugia on loan, and though the Nigerian struggled at Ibrox, Steven Gerrard needs to replace him.
Celtic have proved during the last two seasons that having three strikers is key to any side looking to win the Scottish Premiership title. Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths intertwined last season.
The Scottish Sun claim Nigeria international Sadiq is set to leave AS Roma on loan almost immediately after returning from his Rangers loan, though confirmation of his Rangers exit is yet to be confirmed.
A third striker is a must ahead of January, then, and Gerrard should look no further than taking advantage of La Liga side Getafe’s £1million rejected bid for Scottish striker Jack Harper – who is currently impressing with Malaga.
The Scottish Sun claimed that Getafe, who are currently in the top tier of Spanish football, wanted to sign 22-year-old Scot Harper. The ex-Real Madrid talisman joined Malaga in the summer on a one-year deal.
He has scored three goals in 13 La Liga 2 appearances, and is already attracting interest from the top tier. But with Getafe having a bid rejected, Rangers have to capitalise and increase a bid to lure the striker back to Scotland.
Compared by former Scotland FA performance director Mark Wotte to Robin van Persie, Harper came through the ranks at Real Madrid after being born in Spain. He has Scottish parents.
Two Scotland Under-19 caps under his belt, Harper’s impressive form in La Liga 2 is expected to see him move in January – with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Adding him to Rangers squad as cover for Alfredo Morelos would be an excellent acquisition by Gerrard, in a move that is likely to be on the cheap, too.
