With Rangers’ under-pressure manager Pedro Caixinha has looked further afield in his recruitment, instead reinforcing his midfield with the likes of Mexican international Carlos Pena, Tunnicliffe’s typically British bulldog spirit could come in handy for a side who rolled over embarrassingly in Luxembourg.
HITC sources are telling us that Championship trio Reading, Ipswich and Bolton are considering handing the 24-year-old a fresh start, meaning Rangers must move fast if they want to do a deal.
Though while the likes of Niko Kranjcar and Pena purport to make Rangers a more attractive outfit next season, the hard-working Tunnicliffe could be the glue that holds this loose-fitting side together.
