Steven Gerrard should look at bringing Nathaniel Clyne to Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers if James Tavernier goes.

Rangers fans won’t like to admit it, but there’s every chance that keeping James Tavernier could be a task in January.
Apart from maybe Allan McGregor, the 27-year-old has been Rangers’ most consistent player this season and is already courting interest from elsewhere.
West Bromwich Albion and Brighton are two clubs linked with trying to prise the Gers’ right-back from Ibrox next month.
If he goes, Steven Gerrard will need a top-class replacement and should a loan for Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne be taken into consideration?
Clyne, who once lived next to Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers during their time on Merseyside [The Independent], is completely out of the picture under Jurgen Klopp and hasn’t made a single Premier League appearance all season long.

According to The Sun, the 27-year-old could be available on loan and if Tavernier goes, why wouldn’t Gerrard try bring him in? He already has Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent on loan from Anfield and his history with Liverpool might well stand him in good stead.
The 38-year-old would hate to lose Tavernier, but it’s far from impossible and it’s time to draw up a shortlist of potential replacements.
