Rangers duo Alfredo Morelos and Jason Cummings haven’t started together in a two-pronged attack for a Premiership game as of yet.
But should manager Graeme Murty change that when Hearts visit Ibrox on Saturday? Well, he might if he is aware of Cummings’s record against the Jambos.
When Cummings joined the Gers on loan in January, the prospect of him and the Colombian marksman forming a lethal partnership together was an exciting one for Rangers fans, but they haven’t seen it in a league game as of yet.
However, the 22-year-old Nottingham Forest-owned striker has a very decent record against the Tynecastle club and maybe it’s time that Murty tries to squeeze both into his first XI this weekend.
The former Hibernian hitman has faced Hearts on nine occasions and scored five times.
It’s not an outstanding record, but it is a very decent one and you wonder if the Gers fans are hoping that Murty is aware of Cummings’s proficiency against Craig Levein’s side.
They both started and scored in the 6-1 Scottish Cup demolition of Ayr United earlier this month and although they’re a League One side, it’s promising and maybe, just maybe, the Rangers boss will consider it.
