The pair contributed 13 goals between them in the Championship for Queens Park Rangers last season but Steve McClaren may be tempted to cash in.

Conor Washington and Idrissa Sylla are the likely candidates to leave Queens Park Rangers this summer if Steve McClaren is to fund new summer recruits. The new boss in W12 will have to sell first in order to oversee new signings at Loftus Road, as reported by Football.London
The attacking duo struggled to score on a regular basis last term and, although considered to be at their prime age, McClaren will know he can claw back most of the outlay that was originally spent on the pair.

Washington joined QPR in 2016 for a fee of £3 million and was considered to be a replacement for Charlie Austin, who left the club in the same window.
The Northern Irish international was in red-hot form when he joined from Peterbrough United but has not come anywhere close to replicating that form; something that McClaren will have duly noted.

Sylla was QPR’s top scorer in his debut season with 10 goals, and his seven last term was only bettered by Matt Smith. However, McClaren may be tempted to recoup some of the £2.5 million that was used to purchase Sylla in 2016.
The signing from Anderlecht has adapted well to Championship football but, with QPR keen to reinforce their defence, he may well be moved on. Furthermore, the R’s do have an array of attacking talent coming through the youth system, so it would not be a surprise to see Sylla and Washington both depart.
QPR fans will likely be happier to see the latter leaving over the former but, with the financial implications that surround the club, maintaining Championship football is an absolute given and funds will need to be freed up. It is certainly not an ideal situation for all parties involved but Washington will be keen for regular first-team football and Sylla could test himself on a similar stage.
