Spanish full-back Manquillo is out of favour at Newcastle.

Newcastle United defender Javier Manquillo has been given a run in the Toon side of late but the question remains surrounding his future – will Rafa Benitez keep him throughout January?
The 24-year-old, who joined Newcastle in the summer of 2017 for £4.5million from Atletico Madrid (Sun), has featured in Newcastle’s last four matches – but has managed just seven throughout the entire campaign.
Indeed, DeAndre Yedlin remains the club’s first-choice right-back while Paul Dummett is on the left side. Ex-Liverpool and Sunderland defender Manquillo can play on either side of the defence, but still struggles to get a game.
A January move could be on the cards for Manquillo, who will be keen to get regular game time under his belt at this stage of his career. It should interest Championship side Nottingham Forest, who are on the lookout for a player such as Manquillo.
The Nottingham Post claim Forest are on the lookout for a defender who can play on either side of the defence, as well as powerful attacker effective from out wide. Manquillo fits the bill for Aitor Karanka’s side.
Forest are currently battling for a place in the top six, but Karanka is aware that he needs new signings to bolster the push into the play-off positions. Manquillo would solve the Spanish manager’s problem area on either side of the defence.

The Spain Under-21 international has just 18 months remaining on his contract at Newcastle, and if he was to leave the club, it would be likely that he would be available for less than the £4.5million paid in 2017.
A fellow Spaniard, able to play on the sides of the defence and boasting plenty of Premier League experience, Manquillo would be an excellent addition for Forest in January.
