Nottingham Forest may have the opportunity to bring back Kieran Dowell now from Everton, should they still want to.

The Toffees are all set to sign Bernard on a free transfer, and the Liverpool Echo now suggest that Dowell could leave Everton on loan.

The youngster was hoping to break into Marco Silva’s first-team this season, but Bernard’s impending arrival is set to relegated Dowell further down the pecking order.

Dowell is now used to getting regular action, after spending a season out on loan at Forest last term, and sitting on the bench is unlikely to aid his development.

Forest, themselves, have strengthened going forward, but Dowell could increase their attacking threat even further, if he was to return to the City Ground this summer.
