The Newcastle United teenager is wanted by a clutch of Championship clubs and Nottingham Forest should state their case.

With his contract up this summer, it is perhaps little surprise that several Championship clubs are said to be circling around Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff (Daily Mail).
The 19-year-old is currently impressing at Kilmarnock, where he’s scored twice in eight outings, having stood out at under-23 level in the first half of the campaign.
Equally comfortable on the left or through the middle, Longstaff is a player Nottingham Forest might wish to consider – assuming they aren’t already.
Forest were forced to sell one offensive midfielder, Henri Lansbury, to Aston Villa in January, while another one could follow this summer in the shape of Ben Osborn.
Osborn, who has scored or created around 20 per cent of Forest’s Championship goals this season (10), is funnily enough being linked with a move to Newcastle, with the Magpies reportedly ready to return for the 22-year-old if they are promoted back to the Premier League, having failed to prise him away from the City Ground two months ago.

And while that would likely spell the end of Longstaff’s St James Park’ career, it may lead to a door opening at Nottingham Forest.
Although, the Reds would perhaps be wise to consider his signing regardless.
Would Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff be a good signing for Nottingham Forest?
