With Arkadiusz Milik potentially on his way out of Napoli on loan, should Newcastle United consider a move?

Newcastle United should look to hijack Chievo Verona’s potential January loan move for Napoli’s Polish international striker Arkadiusz Milik (WP Sport) and bring the striker to St James’ Park.
Despite bringing in Stoke City striker Joselu in the summer and possessing the likes of Ayoze Perez, Dwight Gayle and Alexander Mitrovic in their ranks, The Magpies are a striker away from pushing their season on, and Milik could be the man.
The Polish striker confirmed he would be interested in joining Italian side Chievo on loan in January (WP Sport via ESPN), with his spot in the starting eleven at Napoli at risk following a cruciate ligament injury combined and the side’s scintillating form in Serie A, and could be an ideal target for Rafa Benitez to pursue in January following the planned takeover.

Milik made a name for himself in the Eredivisie with Ajax, where he notched 21 league goals in 31 games before earning his big-money move to Italian giants Napoli in the summer of 2016.
However, injuries have plagued the Pole’s time in Naples, with the former Bayer Leverkusen striker picking up two serious knee injuries since joining which have limited him to just 20 first team appearances.

With Mitrovic and Perez struggling in front of goal, Milik could be the perfect outlet up top for The Magpies and with the creative talents of Matt Ritchie, Mikel Merino and Jonjo Shelvey in the side, Benitez has to tools to make the most of his aerial threat.
Whilst there is some warning to Premier League clubs signing players off the back of successful seasons in the Eredivisie following the struggles of Vincent Jansson, Memphis Depay and Davy Klaassen among others, Milik has scored goals across Europe’s top leagues, despite being just 23 years of age and could be the perfect man to push Newcastle on this season.
