Leicester’s Ahmed Musa linked with Aston Villa and Hull but should Newcastle look to beat them to the attacker?
Ahmed Musa of Leicester City holds off a challenge from Matthew Lund of Burton Albion during the pre-season friendly match.
Ahmed Musa has been linked with a January exit from Leicester City, with the Birmingham Mail reporting Aston Villa and Hull City are getting ready to battle for his signature.
However, previous comments from Musa to sport-express.ru about not wanting to reunite with former CSKA Moscow manager Leonid Slutsky at Hull because they are in the Championship suggest neither move is likely to happen.

Yet with just a solitary EFL Cup appearance to his name for the Foxes this season it also seems that the attacker’s future does lie away from the King Power Stadium.
Therefore, should Newcastle United take a closer look at Musa and see if the Nigeria international could be convinced to stay in the Premier League.
Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez gestures during the English Premier League football match against Bournemouth.
Having scored ten goals in their opening 11 league matches and with none of Dwight Gayle, Joselu or Aleksandar Mitrovic truly impressing, arguably the Magpies need a new striker.
Musa is not an out-and-out number nine and can also play out wide, but perhaps that versatility in attack will be a positive for boss Rafa Benitez with support also possibly needed on the wing.
