Newcastle United should consider taking a punt on the Liverpool man.

Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is a reported transfer target for Besiktas, but Newcastle should consider giving the striker one final shot at redemption in the Premier League.
Turkish Football claims that the Super Lig club are in talks with the Reds over the possibility of signing the 28-year-old this summer, but they are yet to meet the player’s £13.1 million valuation.
In today’s ludicrously inflated transfer market, that actually represents decent value, and Newcastle should take a punt on the 28-capped England international.

Sturridge has really struggled with injuries during his career thus far, but his talent is beyond question, and should he manage to stay fit for an entire season, he would surely prove to be a fantastic asset for the Magpies.
Since his £12 million move to Liverpool in January 2013, he has chalked up 64 goals in 133 outings for the Reds, and that kind of goalscoring ratio would really take Newcastle to another level entirely.

The former Manchester City and Chelsea hitman is a deadly finisher, and possesses blistering pace when he is fully fit. This would provide Rafa Benitez with an entirely different option through the middle, and would help improve upon the variety of Newcastle’s attacking play.
And if the Spaniard manages to bring Sturridge to St James’ Park this summer, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Magpies, in spite of the obvious risk that it would entail.
