The Borussia Monchengladbach man is wanted by West Ham United and Leicester City, but Newcastle United should gatecrash the party.
Reports emanating from France this morning suggest that numerous Premier League clubs, including the likes of West Ham and Leicester are chasing Borussia Monchengladbach’s Thorgan Hazard, according to French media outlet Foot Mercato.
With Magpies boss Rafa Benitez’ need for more attacking options at St James’ Park, however, Newcastle should certainly consider entering the race to sign the Belgian.
The 24-year-old can play anywhere along the front-line, and much like his famous brother Eden, he is nimble-footed, with an incredibly low centre of gravity, which makes him so hard to defend against.

He enjoyed a successful campaign in the Bundesliga last term, scoring six goals and chipping in with four assists in 23 league outings for Gladbach.
The former Chelsea winger, who can also play through the middle as an out-and-out striker, would offer fantastic competition for the likes of Matt Ritchie and Christian Atsu – something that Newcastle will need as they head into what will be an extremely challenging Premier League campaign.
The 24-year-old is quick off the mark, with an intelligent footballing brain. These attributes, combined with his renowned work ethic would make him an ideal Benitez capture.
Hazard has two years remaining on his current deal with the German club, so he will most definitely not come cheap. That combined with the fact that there are so many other clubs interested in signing him will mean that it could be difficult to get a deal for the Belgium international over the line.
The opportunity to work with a manager of Benitez’ reputation could help tip the scales in the Magpies’ favour, however, and should the Spaniard be successful in bringing Hazard to Tyneside, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Toon.
