BBC pundit Steven Thompson believes Scott Sinclair could leave Celtic this season.

Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair could leave the Scottish champions this summer according to BBC Sportscene pundit Steven Thompson, and Premier League side Newcastle United should chance their arm.
The 29-year-old is at the peak of his game right now, with 17 goals and 17 assists in 49 league and cup outings this season despite not being one of the first names on the team sheet under Brendan Rodgers.
The former Manchester City ace was left on the bench by Rodgers on Sunday afternoon as the Hoops dismantled bitter rivals Rangers to win 4-0 in the Scottish Cup semi-final, using Sinclair for only the last third of the game.

Thompson said he would not be surprised if Sinclair – who earns £25,000 a week at Celtic according to the Daily Star – did indeed leave this summer as he could be looking to have a second crack at the Premier League.
Newcastle should offer Sinclair the chance to redeem himself in the Premier League. He first starred at Swansea City, but his big move to Manchester City saw his confidence vanish, as he failed to achieve any kind of decent game time.
But with a record of 42 goals and 28 assists in 99 Celtic appearances, largely from the wing, Newcastle should surely take a punt on Sinclair as they look to continue their excellent 2017-18 campaign next time around.

One thing Newcastle do lack is goals out wide. Matt Ritchie has hit a bit of form and scored three goals this season, but Christian Atsu and Jacob Murphy have managed just the same total between them. Kenedy has two, but he is only on loan.
Sinclair would significantly improve the Toon’s goal threat from out wide and now at the top of his game, Rafa Benitez would be foolish not to lure him down south to Tyneside.
