Newcastle United should challenge the Italians for the West Bromwich Albion full-back.

This summer will be a vitally important one for Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez, and if he is to guide his side to an improvement upon their 10th placed finish in the Premier League table last season, he will need to strengthen his side accordingly.
One particular area where the Spaniard might want to strengthen is his left-back department, with more competition required for Paul Dummett, and with this in mind, they should consider making a move for West Brom’s Kieran Gibbs, who is attracting interest from Torino, according to respected Italian football expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 28-year-old joined the Baggies from Arsenal in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be in the region of £7 million, and he went on to make 36 appearances in all competitions.
Following West Brom’s relegation, though, the left-back will surely be looking for an exit from the Hawthorns, and Newcastle could be the perfect club for him to showcase his talent.
Gibbs possesses electric pace, is just as much of a threat going forward as he is a sound defender, and he would undoubtedly be an upgrade in the left-back department at St James’ Park.

He is extensively experienced in playing at the very highest level, having spent such a long period with Arsenal, and that could prove to be vital to Newcastle’s hopes of making a push for the top seven this season.
And if the Toon could pick the Baggies star up for a bargain fee, it could turn out to be a real coup for Rafa’s side.
