Four Premier League teams are reportedly to be interested in Aston Villa’s James Chester; should Newcastle United be among them?

At least four Premier League teams are interested in signing James Chester this summer, reports Birmingham Live, as Aston Villa prepare for life without some of their biggest stars.
The Villans are in serious financial trouble and the sale of Chester, along with Jack Grealish, are seen as the current players who could make the club the most money in the transfer market.

Brighton and Hove Albion and Burnley are known to be among those keeping tabs on the defender, but who else from England’s top flight should be in the mix?
What about Newcastle?
For much of the last season – Newcastle United’s first back in the top tier after winning the Championship – manager Rafa Benitez relied on the central defensive partnership of captain Jamaal Lascelles and new signing Florian Lejeune.

It means that the Magpies may well need support at the back and perhaps Chester could fill that void, with many believing the 29-year-old is far too good for the second tier.
