Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to the performance of Callum O’Hare who helped Coventry beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 on Sunday.
The 23-year-old starred for Coventry, who scored a last-minute winner to beat Forest in their Championship opener.
O’Hare came through the Villa ranks as a youngster and was likened to a certain Jack Grealish, as supporters have also pointed out.
With his floppy hair, low socks and ability to carry the ball, it was understandable why he was compared with his fellow Bodymoor Heath academy product.
Well, over the weekend, O’Hare produced a moment of magic that wowed the Villa fans when his nutmeg resulted in Coventry equalising in the second half.
He was a standout performer with his constant need to get on the ball in pressure situations, showcase his ball-carrying ability and create chances for his more forward-thinking players.
O’Hare initially joined Coventry on a loan deal when they were in League One and he helped them to promotion to the Championship.
He then moved to the Sky Blues on a permanent basis last summer, helped Cov maintain their Championship status and will now be looking to dream of a possible top-six finish this season.
