Leeds are struggling for a man between the sticks.

Paul Heckingbottom made the bold decision to drop Leeds United goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald on Wednesday night as the Whites lost 3-0, with Bailey Peacock-Farrell replacing the German – so should Marco Silvestri regret his departure?
Fans were impressed with 21-year-old stopper Peacock-Farrell despite the academy product conceding three goals to the Championship leaders, in what was his second career appearance in the senior side.
But with Peacock-Farrel significantly inexperienced, Wiedwald failing to make the grade since his move from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen and veteran Andy Lonergan also struggling to prove consistent, Leeds need a goalkeeper.

It will come all the more frustrating to Italian stopper Silvestri, who decided to leave Leeds last summer after Rob Green had displaced the former Chievo goalkeeper throughout the 2016-17 season under Garry Monk.
Silvestri was used as only as a cup goalkeeper after being one of the first names on the team sheet before Monk’s arrival, since his move to Elland Road from Chievo in the summer of 2014 under former owner Massimo Cellino.
His move to Serie A side Verona has hardly given him the first-team game time that he lacked at Leeds, making just two appearances all season and surely now Silvestri will be regretting leaving Elland Road.

If he had remained at Leeds, he would be without doubt the club’s number one goalkeeper, as he endeared himself to fans with passionate displays, impressive shot-stopping and a remarkable penalty record.
But instead Silvestri, who earned £6,000 a week at Elland Road according to the Daily Star, is being left to rot on the Verona bench with Nicolas Andrade considered first choice instead.
