Everton are reportedly preparing for life without Leighton Baines, so perhaps Adam Masina may be a good target to consider.

Perhaps therefore, Marco Silva should consider joining his former employers in the race to sign Adam Masina. The Daily Mirror (04/06; page 53) reports that Watford are in talks with Bologna about a deal for the 24-year-old who is rated at £8 million, but there is a long way to go before a transfer is finalised.
While a potential deal would potentially further damage the relationship between Everton and Watford – Sky Sports recently reported that the pair fell out over Silva – Masina would be an excellent addition to the Toffees squad. The former Italy under-21 international featured prominently for Bologna this past season, making 34 appearances in the top flight, helping them stay up by three points. Only one team in the bottom-half kept a better defensive record.

Masina is capable of playing almost anywhere down the left flank and would provide that bite that would leave opposition wingers not exactly relishing the prospect of coming up against him.
And with Masina still young enough to get significantly better as he gains more experience and perhaps plays in a better side, there is the potential for £8 million to look like a real steal. Silva should certainly not let Watford bag his signature when Everton do need to strengthen their left-back options so desperately.
