Steven N’Zonzi is a reported target for Everton. Liverpool would be wise to include Daniel Sturridge as part of the deal to lure the Sevilla midfielder.

According to reports from El Goal Digital, La Liga outfit Sevilla are interested in signing Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old has started in five Premier League games this season, and has scored two goals. Jurgen Klopp has been unable to give the England striker a regular run of games due to the impressive form of Roberto Firmino, and a move away from Anfield could be on the cards.

Sturridge has voiced his frustration over not getting enough games, and Liverpool should now actively consider selling him in January.

Ideally, the Chelsea striker would love to stay in the Premier League, but Liverpool could secure a fantastic deal by offering Sturridge in a part-exchange arrangement for Steven N’Zonzi.

One particular area of concern for Klopp is the central midfield department, with Jordan Henderson failing to maintain consistency, and Emre Can’s future remaining uncertain.

Keeping this in mind, the addition of an extra midfield destroyer would be one of Klopp’s prime agenda in the upcoming transfer window.

N’Zonzi joined Sevilla in 2015 from Stoke City, and has gone on to establish himself as a fantastic midfielder in the specific role in which he is deployed. He will bring a certain level of physicality to the Liverpool side that they currently lack.

However, the Reds must act quickly as Premier League rivals Everton are also reportedly interested in securing the 28-year-old’s signature.

The Daily Mail reported last week that the Toffees are lining up a £25 million offer for the French midfielder, and Liverpool must act quickly. The Reds could land N’Zonzi on cheap by including Sturridge as part of any potential deal.
