Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly leading the race to sign the Lazio ace, but Liverpool should gatecrash the party.

Reds boss Jürgen Klopp has had to endure a challenging summer transfer window thus far, missing out on some of his key transfer targets, and with just eight days remaining until the window slams shut, the German will surely still be looking to bolsters options.
Rumours regarding Philippe Coutinho’s future with Liverpool refuse to go away, and the addition of an established forward will be of paramount importance to the Reds’ hopes of enjoying a successful campaign, irrespective of whether the Brazilian stays or leaves.
And with this in mind, the Merseyside outfit should attempt to sign Lazio ace Keita Balde Diao, who has been heavily linked wth a move to Spurs, with Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport reporting that the north London outfit have offered €30 million (£27.5 million) for the Senegal international.

The 22-year-old year old is one of the most talented young players on the continent, and he has all of the attributes required to play under Klopp.
He is incredibly athletic, with high stamina levels, and has showcased throughout his time at Lazio that he is willing to put in a shift for his club.
Keita Balde is no slouch in front of goal either. He scored 16 goals in 31 Serie A outings for Lazio last term, with 10 of those appearances coming from the bench.

The pacey forward could also form a potent partnership with international teammate Sadio Mane at Anfield, with the pair well accustomed to playing alongside one another for the Senegal national team.
The 22-year-old can play anywhere along the front-line – something that is vital for any Klopp signing, what with the German’s insistence on his front players interchanging positions throughout the duration of the 90 minutes.
And with a little over a week remaining until the transfer window closes, Liverpool should not hesitate to swoop in and hijack Tottenham’s move for the talented forward.
