Both Juventus and Liverpool could benefit from swapping the two players.
Italian media outlet Tutto Mercato Web reported earlier today that Juventus are interested in signing Reds midfielder Emre Can for a fee believed to be in the region of £21.8 million, but rather than selling him for a flat fee, Liverpool should demand one of the Old Lady’s players in return.
If the 23-year-old does leave Anfield, Jürgen Klopp would obviously have to sign a midfield replacement for the German, so perhaps a sensible move would be to take Mario Lemina in return, as part of any kind of deal to sell Can.

The 23-year-old Gabon international is a top-class performer, and would fit right in on Merseyside, what with his exceptional technical ability, impressive array of passing, and his high energy levels – all prerequisites for Jürgen Klopp signings.
Lemina is an orthodox central midfielder by trade, and his stamina and drive would be the perfect accompaniment to the likes of Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum at the heart of the Reds’ midfield.
The Evening Standard claim that the Juve star is valued at around £20 million by the Italians, so a swap deal involving both him and Can would seemingly be the ideal outcome for all parties involved, if of course the Germany international fails to sign a new contract at Anfield.
