Liverpool have reportedly been interested in signing the Real Madrid ace before.

Marco Asensio is one of the best young attackers in world football, but he faces an uncertain future at Real Madrid, and he would be an excellent addition for Liverpool.
The problem for the Reds, however, is that Madrid will demand in excess of £130 million for the Spaniard, according to Don Balon.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp might just have an ace up his sleeve, however.
Diario Gol reported earlier this year that Real Madrid are interested in signing Roberto Firmino, and whilst the Merseyside outfit would surely not want to lose the Brazilian, the opportunity of bringing a potential superstar in the form of Asensio to Anfield might be a difficult one to turn down.
The 27-year-old joined Liverpool from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015, for £29 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to rack up 65 goals and 47 assists in 187 appearances in all competitions the far.

Asensio, meanwhile, has recorded 27 goals and 16 assists in 129 appearances for Madrid, but those stats don’t do the 23-year-old justice, and he is clearly ready to blow up on the world stage.
The Spain international is over four years younger than the Brazilian, and he has the potentially to easily go on and eclipse the Liverpool forward.
Firmino is a popular figure at Anfield, and Liverpool fans would surely not want to see him leave, but the arrival of Asensio would help them quickly forget about the Brazil international.
