The Manchester City defender could be a useful addition to the Leicester City squad.

Leicester boss Claude Puel will surely be looking to bolster his defensive options at the King Power Stadium this summer, with Robert Huth looking like leaving, and Harry Maguire drawing attention from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
Quite how much money the Frenchman will have at his disposal, though, remains to be seen, so he might just have to be thrifty in his player recruitment this summer.

With this in mind, the Foxes should make a move for Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala, who could be available for a cut-price deal this summer.

The Frenchman joined City from Porto in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £32 million, according to BBC Sport, but he has failed to establish himself at the Etihad, and has just one year remaining on his contract with the Citizens.
Despite his struggles at City, though, he could still have a lot to offer at the very highest level, and it could be argued that he quite simply hasn’t been given ample opportunity to shine at the Etihad.

Standing at 6ft 2in tall, Mangala is a powerfully built specimen, and would certainly bring more physical prowess to Leicester’s back-line.
The eight-capped France international is also quick along the ground, and he possesses all of the basic ingredients needed to be a real top class centre-back.
The talent is certainly there for Leicester to work with, and if Puel manages to bring him to the King Power Stadium, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the east Midlands outfit.
