Should Leeds United target Bradley Dack after rumours last winter?

Last January, The Daily Mail reported that Bradley Dack “fancied” a deadline-day move to Leeds United.

The Whites were linked with a winter move for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder – then at Gillingham – after impressing in League One, netting three goals at the time of the speculation.

His move to Elland Road never materialised and in the summer Dack joined Blackburn, but his start to life at Ewood Park paints the picture of a player very much on the rise and Leeds should consider enquiring to see if he is still interested in a move to West Yorkshire next month.

Dack scored twice in Rovers’ 3-2 win at the weekend to make it eight goals in 14 starts this season, five more than he managed at the same stage last season, and it seems only a matter of time before he gets a move to the Championship.

If the rumours are true about him wanting to join United last January then it would have been under Garry Monk, but life at Elland Road is no less attractive with head coach Thomas Christiansen and Director of Football Victor Orta pulling the strings and surely it would still interest him.

Dack, a team-mate of Leeds loanee Marcus Antonsson at Ewood Park, has been playing at number 10 and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to sign a playmaker, as confusion continues to surround Pablo Hernandez’s long-term future, with the Spaniard out of contract in the summer and refusing to give too much away about his plans.

Looking at his stats, Dack is getting better all the time and now is the time to move, even if Rovers would be hesitant to sell him.
