Should Leeds United take a look at the out-of-favour goalkeeper?

Leeds United have done some good business in the January transfer window but they haven’t strengthened the two positions which they need to.
The Whites went into this month needing a prolific striker and a reliable goalkeeper and despite the likes of Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Felix Wiedwald impressing in the 4-3 defeat by Millwall, neither are reliable and better options are needed if they’re serious about promotion.
Wiedwald, in particular, has blown hot and cold during his first six months in West Yorkshire and you get the feeling that a mistake is never far away from the German, a £500,000 signing from Werder Bremen last summer.

Leeds could really do with a stop-gap option until the summer and should Director of Football Victor Orta take a look at Michael McGovern?

The 33-year-old wound up joining Norwich City but, considering he has been playing second fiddle to Angus Gunn for the entire Championship season, you wonder if he could be tempted away from Carrow Road before the transfer window closes.
Truth is, Leeds have left it too late to sign a brilliant goalkeeper, but they can still find more reliable options than Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan and, as he proved during Euro 2016, McGovern – rated at around £500,000 according to Transfermarkt – has the talent.
