Leeds United fans have been urging Thomas Christiansen to make a move for the West Ham United winger.
West Ham have made Snodgrass available this summer, as he has struggled to show his top form since moving to the London Stadium back in January.
However, Leeds have so far not reacted to Snodgrass’ availability.
West Ham were thought to be asking for £8 million for Snodgrass, which would put the Scottish international out of Leeds’ price range.
However, Sunderland appear to feel that there may be a way around having to pay West Ham’s asking price.
Sunderland want to take the winger on loan, with a view to making the transfer permanent if they are promoted.
And Leeds should at least match that offer, to allow Snodgrass the chance to return to Elland Road.
Snodgrass played 193 times for Leeds during his first spell, and he is still very highly regarded at the Yorkshire club.
