Current Leeds United boss Paul Heckingbottom already has his doubters at Elland Road.
Alan Pardew could come under consideration at Leeds United, following his dismissal from West Bromwich Albion.
Pardew is now looking for a new club, after being let go at the Hawthorns, and some Leeds fans have suggested that he wouldn’t be a bad appointment at Elland Road.
While that feeling is far from unanimous, Pardew’s comments on Leeds to Sky Sports back in September suggest that the job would interest him.
He said: “I like the whole aspect of Leeds this year. The chairman has come in and I’ve not heard anything from him, which is great news for Leeds fans.
“They look more fluid, the look like a team that will definitely be in the top three, in my opinion.
“If the Premier League really wanted a big club to return that hasn’t been there for a while, that is the club.”
Pardew clearly bought into Leeds’ early season success, but things haven’t gone to plan since.
Thomas Christiansen has lost his job, and Paul Heckingbottom has been unable to improve Leeds’ standing in the Championship table.
Leeds are now in 13th spot, with Heckingbottom under significant pressure.
Pardew would be a higher calibre appointment, if Leeds were to consider him, but there must be question marks over whether he would be the right fit at Elland Road.
Pardew has failed in most of his recent jobs, and if Leeds were to sack Heckingbottom they may better off looking elsewhere, despite the 56-year-old’s high praise for them earlier this season.
