If Huddersfield Town are really interested in Rob Green, should Leeds United ask for Nahki Wells?

The Daily Mail reported on Friday that Rob Green is open to the prospect of leaving Leeds United for Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.
The 38-year-old goalkeeper was in fine form under Garry Monk last season but Felix Wiedwald has displaced him as Thomas Christiansen’s number one at Elland Road.
If Green does secure a return to the top flight, should Leeds ask for Nahki Wells in a player-plus-cash deal for the out-of-favour striker?

The 27-year-old, worth £8 million according to The Mirror, could be a very decent replacement for Chris Wood, who joined Burnley for £15 million earlier this week.
Wells, who has 27 Championship goals over the past two seasons, is not as lethal as Wood, who managed that figure in a brilliant 2016-17 campaign on an individual. Then again, he does not need to be as good as the New Zealand striker.
Thomas Christiansen, who replaced Garry Monk in the summer, has re-shaped Leeds so as they are not as reliant on one player, as Monk’s side were last season with Wood. They have scored 15 goals in all competitions this season and nine of them have come from midfield.

Wells would still score his fair share of goals from up front but he does need not to be as prolific as the Burnley marksman was, for the Whites have more strings to their bow now.
A move for Middlesbrough hitman Rudy Gestede has been mooted, but the Elland Road side have already signed a target man in the mould of Wood and Gestede after towering Dutch striker Jay-Roy Grot joined yesterday, though he is 19 and unproven.
