Leeds United have been indebted to Rob Green on a number of occasions, so perhaps should target more experienced players this summer.

When Leeds signed Rob Green last summer, few would have expected the veteran goalkeeper to turn out to be one of the best pieces of business the Whites have done in recent years.
The 37-year-old’s experience has arguably been vital to Leeds’ form, and his performances have kept Garry Monk’s men in a number of games when they have been well short of their best and have kept scores down when they have been under immense amounts of pressure.
The success of Green’s signing should surely tempt Monk to target more experienced players during the summer window to complement the young squad that has been so exciting at times this year.
With that in mind, Monk may want to consider a surprise report from The Sun at the start of the month that suggested that Aston Villa were ready to sell Mile Jedinak this summer.
Jedinak has been brilliant for the Villans this term, so it would be a tremendous surprise if Steve Bruce was actually willing to sanction the Australian’s exit.

But with The Sun suggesting that wanting to raise funds may tempt Villa to try and offload the midfielder, Leeds should register an interest to see if there is anything in the reports.
Jedinak has not only been exceptional in the middle of the park for Aston Villa this term, but he has also been brilliant when used at centre-back which is undoubtedly a position where Leeds must strengthen this summer.
And while a deal for Jedinak may not initially capture the imagination amongst the Elland Road faithful, it must not be forgotten that Green’s arrival was met with little fanfare but has turned out to be a masterstroke from the club.
