Pontus Jansson has left Leeds United and now they must replace him.

While Leeds United fans mourn the loss of Pontus Jansson, Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta need to step up their pursuit of a replacement.
Brentford signed the Sweden centre-back in a £5.5 million deal on Monday night, ending Jansson’s three-year spell in West Yorkshire.
Despite seemingly falling out with Bielsa, the 28-year-old was a big player for Leeds last season and one who no doubt needs replacing. There can be no promoting from within the Under-23s.
And should the Whites go back and take a look at a player they reportedly wanted two years ago?
Filip Helander of Bologna has been linked with a move to Elland Road on a couple of occasions in recent years, and most recently in 2017.
Corriere di Bologna claimed in July of that year that Leeds were keen on the big centre-back, who stands at 6’4, and, interestingly, he’s Jansson’s mate.

He signed a new contract with the Italian side 11 months ago but, with United needing a Jansson replacement, why don’t they test the waters? Orta, the club’s Director of Football, was at Leeds at the time of the previous interest, indicating that if the Whites were genuinely interested back then, Helander is known to the Spaniard.
