Leeds United have an in-form forward out on loan and one that cannot get a look-in at Elland Road.

Leeds United sent Marcus Antonsson on loan in the hope that he could rediscover his scoring ability and things are certainly going to plan in that regard, with the 26-year-old scoring his eighth goal of the season as Blackburn Rovers overcame Blackpool 4-2 earlier this week.
With the Swede in such fine form, and some of Leeds’ current striking options flattering to deceive, it may be sensible for the Whites to recall Antonsson in January and send his countryman Pawel Cibicki out as a direct replacement.

Blackburn will not want to lose Antonsson given his impressive impact at Ewood Park this season, however Leeds need to do what is best for them and adding the player to their ranks for the second half of a vital campaign could make all the difference.
Summer signing Cibicki has barely got a chance at Leeds thus far, and that does not look like changing any time soon. However the Whites will not want to write him off after a few short months and they could use him to appease Blackburn, seeing if he can return to his own top form in the process.

It could be a win-win for all concerned and, even if Cibicki proves to be a dud, Leeds will be bringing back a proven goal-scorer with the bit between his teeth and the chance to prove his Elland Road doubters wrong.
Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen needs to get it right in January, and swapping one player for the other would be a step in the right direction.
