Should Leeds United take another run at the Middlesbrough man?

According to The Daily Mail, Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis is open to selling a number of his players to fund arrivals this summer.
Boro booked a playoff place last season but failed in their bid to return to the Premier League.
This will be the former Stoke City manager’s first summer transfer window on Teeside, and Leeds United should ask about Jonny Howson if Pulis makes him available to leave.
Leeds-born Howson spent a total of 15 years with the Elland Road until 2012 and the Whites were heavily linked with a £5 million move [ITV Sport] last summer, but then-Boro boss Garry Monk beat United to his signing.

Nevertheless, Leeds could still do with Howson – who turned 30 last month – and renewing an interest makes sense this summer if Middlesbrough are willing to negotiate.
The West Yorkshire side have plenty of central midfielders but, apart from Adam Forshaw and Ronaldo Vieira, they could still do with upgrades.
Eunan O’Kane had a dreadful last five months of the season, Kalvin Phillips is inconsistent, and who knows whether Mateusz Klich will impress on his return to England.
Howson, a Championship-hardened midfielder, is a level above O’Kane, Klich and Phillips for now, and bringing him back to Leeds could be a big piece of the jigsaw for the Whites next season.
